The 2026 ShopRite Nutmeg State Games are back in action this weekend with Fast-Pitch Softball, competitive NSG Tennis, and an exciting Judo tournament taking place across Connecticut. Whether you’re competing or cheering from the sidelines, there’s something for everyone!
🎾 Nutmeg State Games Tennis Tournament
July 17–19 | Pat Kidney Sports Complex, Middletown
Tennis players of all ages and skill levels will take the courts for an exciting weekend of singles and doubles competition. The tournament features junior and adult divisions, including singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and family doubles, all played in a round-robin format. With divisions ranging from 10 & Under through adult NTRP levels, it’s a weekend full of competitive matches and great sportsmanship.
🥋 Nutmeg State Games Judo Tournament
Beman Middle School | Saturday, July 18
Judo athletes from beginners to experienced competitors will battle it out in a full day of competition sanctioned by USA Judo. The tournament features junior, senior, veteran, kata, and newaza divisions using a double-elimination format. Opening ceremonies begin at 10:00 AM, with competition continuing throughout the day.
🥎 Fast Pitch Softball Tournament (16U & 18U)
July 17–19 | Hubbard Park, Wilbert Snow Elementary School & Crystal Lake Park
The 16U and 18U divisions take the field for an action-packed weekend of fast pitch softball. Teams will compete in a 3-game pool play format before advancing to a single-elimination championship bracket, with the top eight teams moving on. Every team is guaranteed at least three games, with medals awarded to the top three finishers in each division.
