The first weekend in June is set to be a busy one, with athletes across Connecticut in three exciting competitions! The Nutmeg State Games Cycling Criterium & Championship, Nutmeg State Games Shooting competition, and CMG Tennis Tournament will bring competitors of all ages and skill levels for the weekend. Nutmeg State Games Shooting
The Nutmeg State Games Shooting competition is this weekend at Blue Trail Range in Wallingford. The 3-Position event will take place on Saturday, June 6, followed by the Prone event on Sunday, June 7. Competitors can check in between 8:00 am and 8:45 am, with the event beginning at 9:00 am. An awards ceremony will be held following the competition to recognize top performers.
Nutmeg State Games Cycling Criterium & Championship
Cyclists will take to the streets of Walnut Hill Park in New Britain on Sunday, June 7, for the Nutmeg State Games Cycling Criterium & Championship. Riders will compete for medals, with the top three overall finishers in each race earning a spot on the podium. Riders receive full access to the road at this time; no walkers allowed.
CMG Tennis Tournament
The CMG Tennis Tournament will be held this weekend at the Pat Kidney Sports Complex. As a qualifying event for the 2027 National Senior Games, this is one of the last chances athletes have the opportunity to qualify. The weekend will feature competitive matches and showcase some of the best masters tennis players.
