What a weekend of competition across Connecticut! From fast-paced tennis matches and precision shooting events to exciting cycling races, athletes of all ages and skill levels came out to showcase their talent and sportsmanship. Whether competing for medals, personal bests, or simply the love of the game, participants made this another memorable weekend of action. Check out the highlights from each event below!
Nutmeg State Games Shooting
The Nutmeg State Games Shooting Competition took place this past weekend at Blue Trail Range in Wallingford, with athletes competing across two days of action. Saturday featured the 3-position competition, while Sunday showcased the prone competition. More than 50 competitors participated throughout the weekend, demonstrating impressive skill, focus, and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all who competed, and a special congratulations to the athletes who earned medals in their respective divisions and events.

Nutmeg State Games Cycling Criterium & Championship
The National Senior Games Cycling event welcomed 299 cyclists, including approximately 240 pre-registered riders and 60 walk-up participants. Athletes competed across a variety of divisions throughout the day, creating an exciting and competitive event. Below are our gold medal winners in each division:

CMG Tennis Tournament
The Connecticut Masters’ Games Tennis Tournament brought together 20 participants for 23 matches at the Pat Kidney Sports Complex. The tournament ran from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. under sunny 86-degree weather, making for a very hot day on the courts. Age divisions were combined, and some athletes competed against players who were older or younger than them. Tarun Gupta earned top honors in Men’s Singles, Gabby Morales in Women’s Singles, Angelo and Ettore Rossetti in Men’s Doubles, and Shu-min Hsu and Zhongwei Liu in Mixed Doubles. Every participant earned at least one medal, with some taking home multiple medals. Throughout the day were enjoying the competition and connecting with fellow players regardless of the results.
